Terms of use
These terms govern your use of instantcaroffer.au, operated by Milej Pty Ltd (ABN 79 620 924 245). By submitting a vehicle you agree to them.
What we do, and what we do not do
We operate a marketplace that presents your vehicle to licensed motor dealers so they can make offers. We are not a party to any sale. We do not buy your vehicle, we do not act as your agent in negotiating a sale, and we do not guarantee that any offer will be made, accepted, or completed. Any contract of sale is between you and the dealer.
Offers
- Offers are made by dealers, not by us, and are estimates based on the information you provide.
- Every offer is subject to physical inspection of the vehicle. A dealer may revise or withdraw an offer if the vehicle differs from your description.
- Offers are valid for the period stated on them, typically seven days.
- You are under no obligation to accept any offer, and you pay nothing if you decline.
Your obligations
- You must be at least 18 and legally entitled to sell the vehicle.
- You must describe the vehicle accurately and completely, including damage, faults, accident history, odometer reading and any finance owing.
- You must disclose any security interest registered against the vehicle and provide a current payout figure where applicable.
- You are responsible for lodging the notice of disposal with your state road authority and for meeting your own regulatory obligations as a seller.
Fees
The service is free to sellers. We receive a fee from the purchasing dealer when a sale completes. No fee, commission or deduction is charged to you at any stage.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the conduct of any dealer, the accuracy of any offer, the completion of any sale, or any loss arising from a transaction between you and a dealer. Our aggregate liability in connection with the service is limited to resupplying the service.
Content and intellectual property
Guides and other content on this site are general information only. They are not legal, financial or taxation advice, and regulatory requirements differ by state and change over time. Confirm current requirements with your state road authority or a qualified adviser before acting.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will publish the revised version here with a new date. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
